OXFORD United secured a play-off place on the final day of the Sky Bet League One season, with a 2-1 win at Exeter City.
Intricate play on the edge of the Grecians box led to Ruben Rodrigues stabbing wide, before Mark Harris found the opener after 12 minutes when he robbed the ball from Exeter skipper Pierce Sweeney and ran through on goal.
A powerful Ciaron Brown header brought an excellent save out of Vil Sinisalo, while Cameron Brannagan doubled the lead from the penalty spot five minutes before half-time, after Josh Murphy was tripped by Will Aimson.

Grecians boss Gary Caldwell made a double switch at the break, and the home side looked far more assured because of it. Millenic Alli brought the hosts to within a goal following his header from a corner, while Ilmari Niskanen got in behind and cut wide across goal in a scare for the U’s.
Des Buckingham’s side managed to see the game out professionally though, to set up a play-off semi-final with Peterborough United.
