PART of the A34 is closed today (April 20) until Monday due to weekend roadworks.
The closure is on the A34 southbound from the Chilton Interchange to the M4 junction13 for resurfacing works.
No through traffic is allowed either in Field Road both ways from Sheep Leaze Lane to Hailey Lane.

There are also temporary traffic signals due to water main work on Priors Court Road both ways between Ashfields Farm and Priors Court Road and Priors Court.
Due to roadworks the A34 is closed between Didcot and Newbury heading southbound.

As a result the X34 service will be diverting via Wantage and Hungerford which will add an extra 30mins to the journey.
Drivers are warned to expect some delays in the area.
AA Traffic and Travel News has reported that 'some traffic is leaking in from some of the very small side roads' but not through the main closure on the A34.
Bus operator Thames Travel has also issued a warning to motorists as services are diverted.
The X34 service will be diverting through Wantage and Hungerford which means the journey will be an additional 30 minutes.
A stretch of the A40 between the M40 and Thame is also closed for works.
